And here is the addition at lockup stage. These pictures were taken yesterday. The windows and doors are in, and the rooms inside are taking shape. Here’s a quick look around.
Here is the exterior at lock up stage.
This will be the new entrance to the hall. The existing stairs will come straight down from the existing building to the new.
This is inside the future Youth / Multipurpose room.
Here are a few of our future Sunday School rooms.
And finally, the entrances to the future Toddler and Baby Nurseries.

Wow, a lot has been happening on site. Just not so much here! We’re now at lock up stage and working on interior framing, plumbing, and electrical. We are also getting close to having the the rooftop HVAC units installed. Here are a series of pictures on the way to lock up. We’ll post some further pictures of the interior and exterior shortly.
Thanks for following our progress.

To date we’ve gathered groups of volunteers to install the rigid insulation in the basement, install the vapour barrier and wire mesh on the floor and put up the last of the plywood on the exterior walls. We’re looking forward to more volunteer work in the future.

We now have the beginnings of the second floor. The joists have been installed and the plywood sheeting has also been started. Also finished are the new columns and beams to support our larger entrance to the existing hall in the basement.

We’ve had a lot happening over the last little while. Sorry that there hasn’t been as much activity here. The site has now been back filled and the steel has been erected. We’re just waiting on a little adjustment to the steel that will allow for a much larger entrance to our new/old meeting hall. The framing has also begun in some areas.

Keep an eye out for the next update around August 17th or so. After that they should be much more regular again. Thanks for following along with the progress.

We’re loving all the progress!

The forms for the exterior basement walls are going up. We’ve also had the new and existing roof drains tied into the storm drains in the parking lot. We’re excited for the upcoming pouring of the walls.

We’ve now got the bulk of the footings poured and some rebar in for the walls. The plumbing and roof drains have also been put in that will end up underneath the concrete slab floor. Also filled with concrete are the pads that will eventually support the columns and walls for the second floor.
We’re so thankful for the progress we’ve been seeing over the last weeks.

The “real” construction has started. We’ve got ourselves an excavated basement and the footings are starting to get framed. Things will be changing fast now.

It sure looks like a construction site now. The wonderful orange security fencing has been installed.
All the cedar siding has now been removed as well.
Lastly, here’s a shot of the basement entrance roof being unattached.
It’s been encouraging to have an active construction site. The excavation will begin shortly.

Today at the church there were some trees removed, and the shed was relocated. This was done to prepare the site for the upcoming excavation. The last of the lumber was also delivered today.

Site work today. The shed will end up along the Domano side of the church
Next up for the site will be setting up the security fencing. Once that nice orange fence is up the real work will begin.
