Tree Removal

June 2nd, 2009

Today at the church there were some trees removed, and the shed was relocated. This was done to prepare the site for the upcoming excavation. The last of the lumber was also delivered today.

Site work today. The shed will end up along the Domano side of the church

Next up for the site will be setting up the security fencing. Once that nice orange fence is up the real work will begin.

More News from the Site

June 1st, 2009

We’ve had some work completed at the church while we wait to excavate. The natural gas connection has been removed and capped. Once we have a new wall to attach it to, we’ll turn the gas back on.

Also, there was more lumber delivered to the site. The last of the lumber should arrive in the next few days.

Tomorrow we expect to remove a few dead trees, move the tool shed, and remove some underground wiring in preparation for excavation.

Stay tuned.

Soil Testing

May 22nd, 2009

We had equipment working at the expansion site today. Two test holes were dug so that engineers can confirm the ability of the soil to support the new structure. We’ve been told to expect the results of the test by the end of next week.

While we wait we are in the process of having the gas meter moved, moving the storage shed, and hopefully some excavation. Once the test results are back the forms for the footings can be built.

It begins

May 12th, 2009

Today the first, albeit small, step took place on the construction site. There were 3 lifts of lumber dropped off that will be used to construct the forms for the foundation. As of today we are expecting the excavation to begin in one week!
